Horrible venue

All went well until we paid R22 000 to book our wedding. We received great service until this amount was paid... 2days before the wedding the venue looked horrible, dead plants, *******, broken lights and walls, open wires hanging everywhere, green pool, dead grass.... Horrible!!! And no one was bothered. We were expected to make it work. On the day of the wedding, the "planner" did not even greet me... She said that the rooms were all booked out, gave me the first available room to get ready for the wedding. Then after an hour she wanted to move me to another room... After getting ready we had to clean and leave the room asap as the room was also booked out... So in my wedding dress I had to ask my photographer and guests to please help clear the room before the wedding could start. The food was cold when it was time to eat... All had to be re-heated... We only started eating a hour later... The waiters took the food away so fast that some did not get a chance to eat.... I did not even get a chance to eat desert - they had taken it away too soon. Two of the waiters cracked a glass door... Whilst carrying tables... It was just really such a terrible experience. I never wanted to write a review but now, a year later I received a summons from their Attorneys. Not only holding me liable for the broken door cost, but also the attorney cost and outstanding amount, which would have been reviewed by the manager, Johan, as we were not paying for a service we did not receive... He never got back to us. This venue is the worst ever.
