Olympus 24 Hour Animal Hospital Failed My Dog in an Emergency

At 4:00 AM on Sunday morning, I rushed my dog to Olympus 24 Hour Animal Hospital in Faerie Glen. She was suffering from severe diarrhea and intense stomach cramps. At times, the pain caused her to yelp, and her entire body would seize up in visible discomfort. As a deeply concerned pet owner, I was terrified and expected urgent, professional, and compassionate care from a facility that claims to offer 24-hour emergency services. What I experienced instead was a complete failure of duty.

There was no urgency from staff, no proper examination conducted, and no diagnostic testing offered. The attending veterinarian failed to communicate clearly or provide any meaningful treatment. My dog was visibly suffering, yet the care provided was superficial and dismissive.

Later that day, I took her to her regular vet, where she received the care, she desperately needed. A full examination, scan, and X-ray were performed, and her condition was thoroughly investigated and managed. The contrast in service was staggering—and frankly, unacceptable.

Olympus charged a substantial fee for this inadequate service. Let me be clear: money is not the issue when it comes to my dog’s health. But when you charge premium rates, the service must match the price. In this case, it absolutely did not.

This experience left me emotionally drained and deeply disappointed. In moments of crisis, pet owners deserve empathy, urgency, and clinical competence.
