Hi.<br> I'm Daniel.<br> OLX is supposedly a safe and secure online trading platform, but I have been ****med out of nearly R8000's worth of gaming equipment, and it all happened in less than a day's time.<br> Shortly after I posted my ad, I had quite a few potential buyers contacting me, and it wasn't long before I found the perfect one, but not without taking some safety precautions, of course. I asked for ID, proof of payment (since he opted to EFT the money) and I made sure to receive the number of the driver who would be collecting his purchase. I even took a picture of his lisence plate. <br> Since he was from a different bank than me, and had proof of payment, I thought nothing strange of the fact that the money wasn't immediately visible in my account, but after more than 24hours of waiting, I got suspicious. I contacted the buyer to ask him what was taking so long, but turned out he had blocked my number. Then contacted the driver, who did the same. I urgently suggest OLX take immediate action in creating a more secure online trading platform. Maybe make ID verification a necessary step in creating a profile? Link accounts to PayPal or some other trustworthy app?... Please help in any way
