I joined OLX on the 16 June 2018, and created and account to sell my goods. I uploaded my TV for sale, I got an interest from a gentleman who wanted to buy my tv. I was then contacted by this guy pretending to be a buyer, who then deposited money in my account. He then EFT the payment in my account and the goods was then released to him. He then reversed the cash again after I gave him the TV. My complain is that, nowhere on the OLX app was I able to get any form of contact details of this person, so I was ****med by someone using OLX. do how will they then protect buyers from ******** like this. Will they be able to provide details of people like this,I might not be the only one who has gone thru this and certainly not the last one. They need to alteast have details of people on they site. Any form me who can help me stop this please conatc me. The cars Number plant FM05KMGP please help.

With the contact information you've provided, we've been able to locate the user who ****med you, on your profile. We have banned the account but we are also able to provide you with access logs (IP address, email address, date and time of ad publication) which can help the police locate the *******.
In order for us to release the above-mentioned information, we would need the investigating officer who is handling the case, to subpoena us.
So here's what to do next:
-Report the incident to the police to open a case
-The investigating officer for your case would normally subpoena us for the IP address, as part of their investigation of your case
-Mark the subpoena for the attention of Kaashif Salie
-Ask the police or your lawyer to forward the subpoena to ***
-Please ask the investigating officer to include the user ID *** within the subpoena, so that we know exactly which profile is being referred to
