OLX From Good To Bad

Having been an olx user for a very long time i must say that i am very disappointed in the way the platform has changed. From very easy to use to a total nightmare. As for the customer service agents, they havent a clue. Its like they're just there so olx can say well we do have customer service agents. nothing more than that. The site freezes, takes long to load and sometimes gives the error message "access denied to this server" Upon informing the support about this problem i was told to use chrome only. The programmers of the site are too lazy to make it compatible with the most popular browser in the world? Firefox? Really?

Hello, Vicky,

We are not happy to hear that you are not enjoying the new update.

The "access denied error" you're receiving happens when you have a shared IP and there are too many users active on the site at once. We normally advise our users to give it a few minutes and try again.

With regards to the browser issue, we advise that you use Google Chrome as the site is more compatible with it and many users prefer using it and hardly experience any issues. Have you tried downloading the OLX app?

Your support team is useless and totally clueless. why should i have to use chrome when olx should be made to be compatible with all popular browsers including firefox. what you're basically saying is that the coders who code olx are just too damn lazy to make it compatible with all browsers and the fact that you are trying to recommend the app shows you have no regard for desktop users. you cannot push the app at the expense of the desktop users. you can learn a lesson from gumtree which is light years ahead of olx. they did not sacrifice their desktop site for the sake of an app.
