Olx - an advertising platform that won't let u advertise

Olx Have pathetic rules that Benefit nobody particularly the poor sod Who took Time to make A product listing. Olx says Your image may not advertise your business by having its website address or phone numbers visible!? This platform encourages *****ing and using other customers images. It does not Promote the business itself either so there is no benefit to having professional outfits use its limited services. Leads are few and of poor quality.

OLX WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE? I think you've lost the plot

Thanks for reaching out.

We do not allow URL's that are designed solely to redirect traffic to another website or to link you to a page with an alternate contact method such as Instagram or Facebook. With regards to contact numbers, there is a contact number field in the posting page, we encourage easers to use that. We do not allow contact numbers in the description in certain categories.

The short answer is Safety first! We found that it created an opportunity for ********** users to do their business off the platform, which made it difficult to track their activity, and in turn had a negative impact on the experience of our OLXer's.

We realise that it doesn't solve your immediate issue, though, some of our users have found that the phone number field is a good substitute for this functionality.

So safety is our first and main focus.
