Not doing enough to curb *****
OLX needs to do more to prevent *****, particularly in South Africa. I spent 30 minutes looking for a Nintendo switch and the site is littered with "first time users" posting ****s. I estimate there are more ****s than legit sellers. It's relatively simple to add a simple 'User since ... x' heading prominently somewhere on the user's ad... make it prominent and highlight users that have been on OLX less than a week for example. I know it's there in the chat, but many users don't even use the chat feature. How about also automating a reverse image search on advert submission that ****s out the ****** who post using other's pictures before their items are even posted?

Being a free online classifieds platform, there are unfortunately users who insist on taking advantage. We have many safety measures in place to automatically detect ***** and also many manual methods but because ******** always change the modus operandi, we also learn as we go along.
The account age can not only be seen in the chats but can also be seen on the user's profile below their username on the app and below their account information on the web browser.
