Olives and Plates Hyde Park Racial Undertones Service

Sorely disappointed in how I was treated at Olives and Plates Hyde Park today!

Following my arrival, I was given a choice of two tables and chose one offered by the hostesses…NOT ONE BUT TWO! My mate and I were told to sit at the high tables while our table was being promptly prepared. After what seemed like an unreasonably long time to prep a table, I asked the waiter to please call one of the hostesses so as to find out what the delay is. Low and behold BOTH our tables were given to groups of white people who arrived after us. The experience smacked of not being given preference or fair treatment by virtue of being of a darker skin hue and therefore not worthy of equal service and treatment but the rands are the same.

It was one of my favourite establishments but will never set foot in it again due to the bitter racial taste left in my mouth. Absolutely disgusting.
