Contract showing the Traded in Car

I bought a car at Olgars Auto and also traded in a car to buy a new one but I was never told how much was the settlement and if there was a shortfall and when i phone they told me there is no contract showing which suprises me because now ABSA bank where am financed they are telling me that the garage dep R300 extra on my dep because I only paid R40000 dep. I asked Olgars about it and they said there was a shortfall yet they still added R300 extra on my dep. I wanted to get my proof as they said they were gonna evaluate the old car to trade in but I was never told of the outcome am only hearing about it now that there was a shortfall.all I want is a document to support that as I have a contract between me and the bank financing me on my new POLO.my old car was a Renault Clio. As far as I know the service providers must keep their contracts for 5years before they destroy them. Kindly assist as I waited a month before they could come back and say there was a shortfall in a trade in but no document to support that.

I was not happy with the way they handled my query it was not resolved to my satisfaction as I still have no contract

Good day ma’am

As discussed with you over emails and calls with our Customer Care manager, Nabeel, it was explained to you that:

1. Your vehicle was traded in for R30 000 and the settlement amount on it was R48 631.43. This meant that there was a shortfall of R18 631.43. We then settled this amount for you, without receiving anything from your side.

2. Your finance bank, ABSA, also required a deposit of R40 300 for the deal to go through. We acknowledge receipt of R40 000 from you, however as our client, we wouldn’t ask for the remaining R300 from you.

In terms of the contract, it is important to note that it will not show any other vehicle, except the one you would be purchasing at that stage. No trade-ins will show, neither will any of your previous vehicles.

Please let us know if the issue has been resolved.

Thank you for a quick response eventhough am still not satisfied with the response. I feel you are not transparent when it comes to deals of your clients being approved,as per NCR I believe everything must be explained to the client and it must be my decesion to make as to if I still wanna conclude the deal or not. To me and my fiancee everything seemed ohk as you guys only asked for the keys for my old car no feedback if it was tested or not and no shortfalls were explained. I was never informed about the shortfall in my old car so I assumed that the car had no shortfall because you guys only told me about the R40000 dep that was required and you asked to dep R20000 upfront and u asked that i do the transfer of another R20000 when i get to the garage which i did comply to that so why u never told me about the shortfall and now ure makinv it sound as if i didnt have money to dep and you were assisting me about that extra R300 that you added to my dep that you guys never told me about either.you shuould have let me about so called help u provided . I feel you guys ****** me because you were suppose to explain to me all the terms and conditions with the trade in and see if I decide to accept yo help or if I decided to pay a shortfall myself or decide to cancel the deal.yet u made it sound everything was fine made me comfortable as nothing seemed to be a problem when you guys were doing the deal as even the car was not inspected you only asked for the keys after our deal for a new car was approved which brought a question to us because we were advice to be in you garage as early as 9h00 so that u can start by inspecting the car we had to book a hotel in Ermelo so that we could arrive in time as we were from KZN. It also brings a question if you guys say you wont have any records for when u were doing a trade in so that means to me you dont do record keeping and you dont get audited???are you a n accredited credit provider though?? There was a confusion when I asked for my contract from Nabeel and Ashan i do have the ABSA contract as the bank that financed me showinv everything and that i signed as we reached our consensus with them but there is no document between me and the garage showing the trade in the proof that there was a shortfall and now that ama enquirying about it I believe u should have it for referrals even loan sharks keep records how come you dont keep yours as a big garage like this. As a customer am still not satisfied I need a record showing a proof of the trade in and shortfalls covered by you and the agreement we signed .and again please dont confuse the document with ABSA i do have that one Nabeel emailed and I still have the copy u gave me at the garage the day I bought a car.
