Car with faults , lose wires and red fender
In April 2018 i bought a car blue clio renault at Olgars Autos 2013 Model its still under warranty.
However on the 19 of January 2018 my car broke down electrical problem as the dash was smoking.
Took it to renault and this was found:body damage of paint work done on the following Areas...1. Left front fender. 2.left front post 3.welding that has turned to tust. The wiring has burnt out in the area where body work has been done. The wiring has been tampered into previously for aftermarket fitments.
All this was sold to me by Olgars autos in Nigel and they are declining a qoute i sent to them as i bought the car as it is ànd thats why i took it to renault because i thought it was warranty covered i dont want their car anymore i want them to take their car and give me credit please take you car because when i bought it no one explained to me that tge car has to colours red and blue and they left a tracker lose as well which means it was only disconnected from the battery but it was never removed. And they are saying they took the car to service and nothing was wrong yes... the car was taken to service for mechenical not electrical.
NB:DONT BUY ANY CAR FROM OLGARS AUTOS ITS BULL****!!!!!!!! YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.....
Good Day Ms Sithole
We do acknowledge your query and wish to point out the following:
Your vehicle was purchased at the beginning of April 2017 which is now almost 10 months ago.
We do have the report from Renault as well and found that the car is still covered under Renault Factory warranty, however they are not honoring the repairs due to a third party apparently interfering with the wiring. The remainder of the warranty is still completely intact, so the car is still in good condition by their standards as well. As far as the electrical interference is concerned, it appears that a tracking device was removed or installed and that is where the wiring was affected. We have not done any tracking device installations, nor do we have any record of it being done whilst with us. Renault are quoting +-R24000 to replace the wiring harness.
They claim that the radio is loose, however that was definitely not the case when you took delivery of the car and you have never contacted us complaining of that since your purchase, hence it is possible that this may have occurred after purchase.
The cosmetic paint work was disclosed to you upon delivery and you did inspect the vehicle and accepted it as such. We do repaint scratched and scuffed panels as our clients prefer a car that is in showroom condition and that they do not have to repair themselves. Renault have not indicated any accident damage on the vehicle either.
Yes we did decline the quote from Renault, on the basis that our warranty has expired and that the price is absolutely beyond reason. You have not mentioned that we requested you to please obtain an RMI approved auto electrician to inspect the car and obtain a quote as well. So we may have rejected the quote but we have not refused you any assistance. We do go beyond our obligation for all our clients and this is something we pride ourselves in.
We cannot be expected to pay a seriously overpriced quotation from Renault, but please be assured that we will do whatever reasonably possible we can to assist you.
