Tricky Assessor / claim

Took my car for an assessment and the claim amounted to R 4883.60. this has left me disappointed in that I don't understand why the insurance has quoted my claim this amount which is a few rands from R5000. is this a way of the insurer trying to dodge my repairs ? I would understand if it was under 3500, but now its over R4500. really Honestly , disappointed . is this the over R5000 no excess story by Virgin just a \story"to attract clients. I think insurers who require excess are safer "
