insurance ***** and theft
I was involved in a motor vehicle accident on 11 April 2015.
My insurer, Virgin Insurance arranged for their accredited panelbeater to assess my car.
I was informed by the insurance claims advisor that the vehicle would be repaired as the repair cost was R43000.
The accredited panelbeater, TC Panelbeaters (Wynberg) undertook the repair.
The vehicle was returned to me on 18 May 2015.
Upon inspection, the engine air filter cover was missing.
I queried this and was informed that the car was received without the cover.
I had the car fully serviced 1 month before, and a call to my mechanic confirmed that the cover was present when he serviced the vehicle.
I further found a receipt in the car from the panelbeater to the insurer. The total repair cost was R91000, nearly double what I had been told. (The cars value is R92000)

One day after using the car, the power steering failed and there was a sound like a loose belt coming from the engine.
I called Virgin insurance who collected the vehicle once more, for inspection.
I am now told that the engine belt is damaged due to wear and tear and will not be covered.

I suspect my car's parts have been ******!
