Worst treatmet
I am writing this review on behalf of my father who has been sent from pillar to post by Old Mutual. He is trying to get his life cover reinstated, at first old mutual said he has done it more than the required times, when pushed for answers they couldnt prove that. So now they are dragging the application, he has submitted the application, all documenation and was even asked to supply the medical doctor details, all done, but Old mutual keeps sending him meassages saying he needs to submit something. We have been to the springs branch more times that I can even count, everything when checked is in order. At the branch they have sent and called numerous times but no one is helping, i am not sure if old Mutual is dragging with the hope that he gives up and forfeits his life by tiring him out with the calls and trips to the branch, It is truly unacceptable how you treat your most loyal customers. He has been your customer for over ten years and has held different products under your company. I myself have a portfolio of different products with you, which I sure as hell am considering migration to an institution that values human beings.

Good day Lungi
The underwriters have confirmed with me that a letter has been sent to your father's doctor.
Your father can consult his doctor to discuss the contents of the letter.

This is my response to her, she has kept quite after this
Good day Delia
Masy the underwriters kindly contacted my father directly with a response about this query. What is the reason for sending a letter to the doctor of the policy holder without letting him understand the process? As I mentioned, it has been over a year with my father going up and down to and from old mutual and making endless calls at the branch and on his own, and the only solution you have for him is that a letter has been sent to his doctor, for what reason, if it to request further information I am sure that Old mutual should also be calling him and not treating my father like a third party in this matter. This is extremely disappointing as you can also probably deduce, but also disrespectful and showing that he is merely not a valued customer. Old mutual tried to give a run around by saying this policy was reinstated more than required, when they couldnt prove that, they said there were outstanding documents, which really all was outstanding was an email address, now you send a letter to the doctor, who must explain contents to my father who is your client. a public hospital doctor who has to go through thousands of patients a day. Did they even confirm receipt of that letter with the doctor, or are they leaving it to him too.
My father has been frustrated enough, myself too. for me it's better I can move all my policies elsewhere but he spent years on that life cover and he is expected to just keep quiet. At this point he feels as if you are dragging this matter with the hope that he dies and you are absolved of reinstating the policy.
I ask that Old mutual resolve this matter,
