When 2 to 3 weeks becomes 4 months!!!

I resigned from my old job which uses Old Mutual to manage their employees' provident funds.

I was informed that by the end of March I would have the funds divested and paid out to me.

I have gone back to school and heavily dependent on the pay out to assist with fees and other costs associated with studying in a city away from home.

I call Old Mutual at least 4 times a week and leave messages every single time and if I'm lucky I'll get a call back.. but I learnt to stop holding my breath.

The list of excuses for the delay in the pay out is just overwhelming, so I decided to take matters into my own hands after the last conversation I had with the Manager where I was told they are waiting on an email response from ABSA Home Loans to ensure that they don't have my name on their loans database.. which we all know I dont.

A contact who deals with Provident Funds at Momentum confirms that their excuses are nonsense, as well as a contact at ABSA Home Loans. They both believe that this is just a way to hold onto the funds for longer to benefit from them- interest or whatever.

So I'd just like to ask JEROME at Old Mutual Products to please tell me truth, or process my funds.

Thanks
