What life insurance???

We had the worst encounter. My husband moved his life insurance to Old Mutual. He received a pacemeker on the age of 28 and claimed. Eventually after almost 6 months of NO communication and we started asking questions as to the progress of the claim. Eventually we sqeezed the accessor to finalize the claim and after stuggeling with doctor information and having to obtain this information ourselfs???? The accessor could not read the Doctors hand writing, with result us having to beg the doctor to complete the information again.

We received a payment of R9000 with NO communication as to what this payment entails. When we enquired we were informed that the claim was rejected due to a "diagnosis" being made and not "disclosed" before we were coverd??

Then to top it all off the R9000 payment was Old mutual canceling his life insurance without any communication!!!!!!!!! Is this even allowed?? When asked they responded that they sent it via the post???What post???

Since when can an insurer just cancel life insurance with out ANY DISCUSSION????
