Very poor service by Old mutual
I have an income protection cover with old mutual that's contractually obligated to pay out for 6 months. December(which would have been 4th payment) payment not received with no notice. Ironically, Old mutual deducted premiums for the month in question. It's been two weeks of trying to get resolution to the matter with no success,standard response from call centre and complaints department : " The matter has been escalated." Very poor service with no regard for long standing clients.

12 Jan 2024, 15:36As expected, no one sent me feedback as promised yesterday . This is further proof that yesterday's prompt response by Old mutual to this review was nothing more than public relations stunt.I have lost faith in this institution.

12 Jan 2024, 16:14Another standard answer:" The matter has been referred to our claims department,I will contact you soon as I receive feedback" No commitment whatsoever to timeliness.I bet they'll be first to deduct premiums yet again while dragging their feet to pay income.Dreadful experience and attitude.

15 Jan 2024, 20:24You can count on OM to put their incompetence in full display. So you have the time to respond swiftly to refute the fact that you are issuing standard responses but can't live up to your commitments to give feedback. 3 weeks later and not 1 of your employees has issued feedback.
