Useless old mutual employee benefits

Very bad service from old mutual, I was laid off from work last year during level 5 lockdown - and since then I never received a salary until currently , I’ve been struggling from last year , now my question is if I was not receiving a salary it means old mutual employee benefits where not receiving my contributions of which would then make me a nil contributor of which old mutual would then have to contact my employer and inform them of what they already know that they need to submit a claim form for me to be paid my provident fund - of which non of that happened- unless if am confused whom ever is the administrator of my employer clearly is not doing their job properly- now after going to my employer and fighting with and forcing them to submit my claim they send the claim and it’s now 2 weeks I have not heard anything- no communication no sms no email . I have been struggling to make ends meet , I want this claim to be paid with urgency .
