Unfair settlement Old Mutual

My late mother was insured and covered by old mutual which is great, sharp. In 2021/01/11 unfortunately she passed on same we week started with the funeral arrangements. She had the cover for if she dies old mutual will give us money for her funeral and yes they did give us that money.

She also had a retirement fund which she paid for every month... Same year in 2021 we also claimed for the retirement fund which took them years to come back to us... Late Jan 2024 Mark Mayor from the old mutual offices called to verify that we are the late kids of the late R. D Khumalo and if she was never married and if she had siblings and other kids... At first he asked if I received any email and I said no then he said he will send another email of which I shared with my new email address with him but the email never came. He confirmed with my sister that we will receive the money on that day(06/02/2024),they didn't send. Then on Monday (12/02/2024)i received a call from Old mutual, it was a lady wanting to confirm my account number, and said the money will reflect on the same day but didn't, it was only on the 15/02/2024 then the money reflected on my account. My mother started paying the Old mutual policy for more than 10 years but the money they sent is appalling, it doesn't matter sense at all. Secondly we had to fight for our mom's policy for a payout, it took three years for them to pay this money.
