UNCLAIMED BENEFITS - UNHAPPY OLD MUTUAL CLIENT

It is very sad that I have to resort to this platform to try and get assistance from Old Mutual. The FSCA has a record of my late sisters unclaimed retirement benefits at the administration of both Alexander Forbes and Bidvest Mccarthy through a section 14 transfer from Old Mutual. I have been sent from pillar to post by all said administrators only to confirm only a R78 fund value at Bidvest. Where the actual benefit is only God knows. Neither Bidverst or Alexander Forbes knows what happened before fund take on in 2016. There is no way in history that a member that has worked for over 20 years for Bidvest now has a pension that equates to R78. This looks to me like a surplus that was left in the fund. Where is the actual benefit Old Mutual? You have confirmed that there is no record of the member having any benefit on many occassion but there is an active unclaimed record on the FSCA and BenX database. The member is deceased and passed on before reaching retirement, her benefit was never claimed.

I hope for a speedy resolution in this matter.
