They're giving me the run around...

I came to the branch in eMbalenhle branch yesterday in an attempt to open an account with old mutual and was told that I needed a bank statement as proof of residence.

So I went home and opened the account online after I found out I could use my retail statement or invoice as proof of residence.

I went back to the branch and was told by the receptionist, Thembeka Ngwenya, that I need to resubmit the proof of residence. I protested as I had submit everything online yesterday and got a message saying that my documents were approved and I should collect the card.

She sent me to one of the consultants who again told me that she needed the proof of residence. I asked her why did I submit them online if I still had to bring them into the branch.

Then she says she can try and issue the card and see if the system will allow. I told her to try it as I was not gonna come back. Then she says that I need to get a ticket from the same receptionist who sent me to her.

I asked her why she didn't issue a ticket in the first place. She could not give me an answer.

I went back to the reception and got a ticket and I have been sitting here for ten minutes typing this review and have not been called but there are people who are not attending to any client.

Why are these people treating us like we have nothing better to do than sitting here wasting away?
