The worst Turn around time - Old Mutual

<p>It is with such great dissapointment that i have to write this.</p> <p>My Grandmother passed away on Monday, i had a policy with Old Mutual and registered the claim on Tuesday, i even had to go register the claim at the branch as i was told it will be the quickest way to get the money, the consultant advised that i will receive the money within 24 to 48 hours. I was depending on that money to assist with the funeral arrangements. little did i know that 24 to 48 hrs is not really that, i only received the money on Friday, whereby the funeral was on Sat. I was very disapointed with that as i believe that 24 hrs should be exactly that, esp from a company like Old Mutual. </p> <p>I have all my policies, Retirement anuity and investments with Old Mutual, but based on what i experienced this passed week, I actually want nothing to do with them right now.</p> <p>when you sign up with them, they promise to assist you as quick as possible, but when you are in actual need of that cover, then they are silent. </p> <p>we take up funeral covers to assist in event of an emergency/death, what is the point of receiving the money after the funeral arrangements are done? </p> <p>I had so much respect for Old Mutual as its one of the reputable companies, however i have lost all hope and wont even refer any of my friends to them.</p> <p> </p> <p>Thanks</p> <p> </p> <p>Gale Mathabatha</p>
