I have been dealing with Old Mutual since 2014 and have gone through a difficult time financially as did most of working class South Africa. Never the less through all of this I have not once experienced the Old Mutual that all these other negative reviews refer to.

Just this morning I got an SMS to collect my new Old Mutual Money Account card after I filled in the online application after 20h00 last night. At a busy branch in center town George I was welcomed with a smile, helped within minutes by Usanda and even with a technical difficulty I was out of the branch in 10 minutes. That is great service if i have ever experienced it. I think as a test of technology infused banking, Old Mutual has passed with flying colors. It can be so easy to clutter your digital platforms with lead generating and other unwanted steps for clients to fill in. Old Mutual Money has just the right recipe when it comes to online application and it is perfectly complimented with a easy to use quality product.

As for their other Products {Life Insurance and Long Term Investments} that I make use of I have found Old Mutual as well as Havelyn Jacobs {the agent/broker that I deal with} to be honest and transparent. The advise I was provided with was accurate and factual and the process of providing security for me and my young family was a wonderful experience.

Therefore it is my opinion that the negative reviews I have read here on Hello Peter are the opinions of impatient people who are either uninformed about procedures or unwilling to cooperate with procedure.

For instance, there are allot if people who claim Old Mutual is delaying a payout. After a two minute research on the Old Mutual website I found it clearly states that a payout of some of the products can take anything from 15 to 60 days depending on the details of the case.

Thus I again say: Old Mutual is a transparent, well established financial institute that has provided quality financial services to the best of their ability for many years and have withstood the test of time. I feel safe with entrusting me and my families financial security with Old Mutual.
