Terrible Service

I have only ever heard good things about old mutual. This is not so much old mutual but the broker that works for them. His name is Patrick Beauchamp , when Patrick has made an error on his side...you will never hear from him...this is my family's story. My step dad trusted his life...life policies and will with Patrick. My step dad would even invite Patrick over for weekends, he was like a son to him. He was my step dads broker for many years. In October 2020 my step dad asked the broker to change his will and a digital copy was done, although no signature. Everyone knows the issues a family has with a will! Well let me shorten the story....sadly my stepdad passed away on July from Covid, my mom made the broker aware he was going to hospital and how over the weeks he deteriorated, Patrick assured my mom that financially she will be ok, that was not the case. Patrick did NOT follow through with my step dads final wishes and now my mom is left destitute. Myself and my partner with our baby have had to move from gauteng to KZN to somehow support and console my mom. Her husband was her everything. This broker has turned a whole family upside down because of his *********** ways. Its so sad cause my mom has not heard any feedback from the broker, my partner has emailed the broker and old mutual and we have had no response. My stepdad has been laid to rest already although my mom is still all over the place as she has no way of surviving. Absolutely disappointing Patrick Beauchamp and Old Mutual
