*****ing from the elderly
On the 7th of April 2022 Old Mutual send a form to my elderly Dad to complete electronically and email back to them. It took us half an hour to figure it out, another half hour to complete electronically and sign electronically where after I returned it to Old Mutual on the 8th of April 2022, as my Dad does not have access to printers, scanners and knowledge of the internet to download the program required to sign electronically, indicating that my Dad wants to opt out of the higher tax bracket option. I received confirmation that the our request was received and will be attended to. On the 26th of April 2022 when my dad received his monthly payment from Old Mutual the extra tax was deducted. We have been battling since to get an explanation. The emails are read, no response, the land lines are "out of order", we lodged a complaint on their website. There is just no way to communicate with Old Mutual to get this issue resolved.
I received an email from Bilqees Carelse indicating that the tax rate amendment will be in place from the end of May 2022. The extra tax was again deducted. Kindly advise the correct channels to get this issue resolved.
