Shocking

My client requested that you change his debit order details in August 2025.He was informed that the new account does not allow debit orders. He then requested that you revert back to the old bank details but change the debit order date to a later date in the month.Somewhere along the way, this request went awry, and month after month, he tried to rectify the error without success. The policy eventually lapsed—not due to his actions, but due to your lack of service. After numerous emails and disputes, we eventually received feedback from Ammaarah Kamish stating: “Kindly be assured that we have already submitted the waiver request, and it is currently pending with our actuarial department. Once we receive feedback regarding the waiver, we will inform you promptly.”We are now going into the second month of waiting. In the meantime, the client is without R3,500,000 in coverage in his risk portfolio, which does not seem to concern you.We cannot reach anyone via phone; we cannot get through on the lines. Ammaarah does not even have a phone number in her signature block. We have completed numerous debit order mandates to no avail. How is it possible that a simple debit order change cannot be executed correctly, leading to a policy lapse, and then getting it reinstated has turned into a nightmare?
