Shabby service from the Old Mutual who do not care
Very shabby service and clearly a don't-care attitude.
28 December 2019 I filled in a number of forms to change my GreenLight policy due to changing financial concerns that were urgent. I signed the necessary forms and then I heard nothing until FEBRUARY when I was shocked to notice that the original premium was still being debited.
Complaint sent ONE WEEK AGO via email: "Can you please advise why the policy still has not been changed as per the signed forms? (Forms re-ATTACHED!) This month I was once again debited the original premium. Why was this not changed? We are WELL into the new year now and no action. It is completely unacceptable."
Response from OMSA: Reference number issued: CCC***3
Further response: NADA
Note - documents were re-attached for the THIRD TIME.
I also took issue with them on Twitter and received no response: . @OldMutualSA - 4 Feb. How *********** can you get? Urgent changes to existing policy requested late last year. Debit order STILL not amended. Your company is going down just like they say. #disgustedclient
Is this becoming a shabby 3-rate financial services concern? It certainly seems like it.
We are sorry to hear of your service experience. This matter will be investigated and I will be in contact with you to assist.

Unresolved is, why the internal systems at the OM did not work, especially when I first escalated the problem using the designated channel, heard nothing for a week, then only took to Hello Peter. Hopefull said company is working on that. But thumbs up to Hello Peter and to the Mutual's crisis management team.
