Rude, horrible customer service and very very unreliable information.

My dad joined Old Mutual funeral cover around 2017. My dad asked what would happen to his policy when he is retired and can no longer be able to pay because he will no longer be working. The old mutual representative said to him "if you are retired and haven't claimed anything Old Mutual will give you all your money back because you will no longer be working ". My dad went to Old Mutual offices in Carletonville last week where he had opened the funeral cover to report that he got retrencthed and the lady that is working there was rude to him. She said" get out of my office Old Mutual is not a savings account". When my dad was asking for a solution she told him to leave. What makes my dad angry is the fact that Old Mutual increases the montly payment and they are not even warning him. When it comes to service it's horrible and the representative is very very rude. We just now see that this was just a **** and since he won't be able to continue paying they won't cover him, everything will be canceled. And he has paid more than R25k to them over the past 4-5 years without claiming. I will never recommend old mutual to anyone,ever.
