RIDICULOUS INTEREST

I was handed over by Old Mutual to Traceonline my initial debt on the the court order( sec 58) was R79 000 and something they are deducting R600 through garnishee order since since 2014. On my payslip my balance is now R34 261.42 but on their statement and on my credit profile oustanding balance is still R81 000 amd something, how is that possible, i tried to make an enquiry they told me about interests, can interest be that high? Please assist this is day light *******
