Ridiculous holding time

Why do a person have to wait more than 40 min on the line!! And no answer its like they pick up and don't say anything just mute you!! And you hold in to a silent line and then after 15 min holding, you get to complete a survey. I never phone in always try to avoid calling in but this is ridiculous!!! What's the point of having something with a company if they can't pick up. I called in 4 times and still the same experience!!
