Retirement Fund

My mom last year was diagnosed with cancer at the at of 54 she was turning 55 this year 2023 She has 2 policies with old mutual retirement fund

She started her chemo and was scheduled for surgery this year she approached old mutual to find out how to apply early seeing she will be in surgery when she turned 55

She was advised to submit application 2 months prior.

She went to the Tzaneen branch submitted in November of 2022

Come February 2023 she turns 55 follow up only to be told no documentation was submitted how really?

Keep in mind she just 4 days out of surgery she had to now head to the polokwane branch in stitches to submit documents everything sorted only after 2 weeks to be told a divorce decree was required this person has been divorced for 15 years now.

Fine she submitted it 2 March please keep in my that it's now 3 times an old mutual consultant messes up.

We need her funds to be released as there is too much misconduct on old mutual there shouldn't be any delays caused as so much damage had been done
