Refund from old mutual(**********)

<div>Good day end of January i found out there was permiums that was deducted from my salary that i was not aware of ,for more than a year. The deductions, was done by stop order. I went to my payoffice to find out who was deducting my money, they said its old mutual. Biggining of February i went to one of their branches in Springs. Only to found out that they said its a funeral cover for my brothers. I told them i never took a policy that deducts straight from my payoffice(salary). I told them I got one funeral cover which is greenlight with them where they are deducting R403.15. To my surprise they said that cover lapsed a year ago when i asked then what is the R403.15 for they said its a funeral cover for my brothers again which means i was paying funeral covers for same people with different paying methods, by stop order and the other one with debit order.

They said if I dont know this funeral covers I must lodged a complain with old mutual of which they did open a case. They sent me a message that the case is with the old mutual foresics/ ***** department they will be investigating my case. I called them for a follow up they gave me the name of the investigator Miss Nozipho , I tried to call her but for almost a month I never got hold of her.

13 April 2021 I got a call from this number ***) by the lady name Nomusa, the lady said she was from Old mutual, and she was sent by an investigator to get my story then she will tell the investigator what happened. I told her that i dont know this policies even worse the one with stop order i found out u have to fill in the form from pay office for the old mutual to deduct, which i didn't know cos i never used this stop order thing ,so i didn't even know the procedures. So i dont know who submitted my information to pay office for deductions. And to my surprise my broker(adviser) also said it's not him ,he doesn't know what happened myb its a mistake from pay office or my union how i dont know. I told the lady (Nomusa) who claimed to be from old mutual that this old mutual they deducting a lot of money because all in all is + 700 i want to cancell the policies while their are busy investigating. She told me that she can cancell the one for R403,15 the other one for R294 i have to wait until the investigation is finished.

On the 14 April 2021 i received a message that the case is cancelled because i admitted that i know the policies and I wanted to cancell them, therefore the policies are cancelled. Which means i wanted to cancelled the policies that I was not aware of. I was so angry i called the head office of old mutual wanted to speak to that Nomusa, the lady who pick up the fone said i must call the investigator. I went straight to old mutual branch in Springs i was assited by a lady name Portia. I explained everything i told her that she must call the head office i want to speak to Nomusa. Portia asked to see the number that called me, and said this number is not head office number but Benoni number, Portia called the number only to find out that the number is where the wife of my broker is working which means ,it is possible that the person who called me claiming to be from old mutual was the wife of the person their invitigating my broker (Adviser) and there's no one by the name of Nomusa, which means this people they are fooling and playing games with me. I assume the person who cancelled those policies ,she's the one who called and pretended to be Nomusa from old mutual. I dont know what she told the investigator but the policies were cancelled and they said they will not refund me and I want my money back.

On the 16 April 2021 i received a refund from old mutual for the amount of R294 but they were deducting my money for more than a year.
