My retired mother took annuity policy at her ealy stage of life,all she get from this policy is less R500 however this last financial year was the 1st time she submitted SARS RETURNS since she retired and had to disclose to SARS and just because of this R480 she receives monthly from OLD MUTUAL annuity policy she found her self owing SARS an amount of R1350 that she had to pay and SARS indicated that for as long as old mutual does not pay her lumpsum of this money every year she will be paying something to them and which will be growing annually.<br> My mother went to the branch in polokwane and wrote letters to old mutual to request that she be paid her lampsum money as she cant afford to pay SARS this kind of money on a yearly bases because of this pinuts that OLD MUTUAL is giving her,i also called the customer's service department of old mutual and explained the situation,all they said is sent us an email and todate no one got back to us.<br> People be careful of this financial service providers like old mutual,you will find yourself suffering at your retired age while you thought you where saving for that age with them.all they want is your premium but dont pay out when they have to.
