Read this before you take funeral cover with Old Mutual!

This doesn’t deserve any star at all!! I took funeral cover with Old Mutual in 2020 I never missed a single premium, on the 12th September I lost my father who is fully covered. 14th September I put in claim through their App got a reference and attached all required documents.

Monday the 18th September I made a follow only to be told that I didn’t submit the documents, I then resubmitted the documents to the email address provided on the sms and on the WhatsApp contact number.

On Tuesday 19th I made another follow up of which again I was told to submit death certificate, I once again resubmitted the certificate. On Wednesday evening I called again as it was all quiet and once again I was told to resubmit, I submitted with the agent online until they confirmed that they can see the certificate and will escalate the matter.

Thursday the 21st was my father’s burial.

On Friday 22nd I call Old Mutual again to make a follow up only to be told to submit death certificate.

I am beyond exhausted right now with this SP service!!!

I was supposed to use the money to assist me with my father’s burial but 8 days after claim and with me submitting all required documents I am still not paid!!
