Pure witchcraft and Day light ******* by OLD Mutual.

I have a problem or perhaps my mother has a problem. She took my father under her funeral plan with Old mutual in 2006, of which they have been in separation since 2001... She then mysterious found out in 2014, that she has been divorced by my father without having signed any divorce documents.

I am just trying to narrate the story above to give u, the background. On the 8th of December 2020 my father passed on due to Covid 19,and he was buried on the 17th of Dec 2020. My mother upon getting the deaths certificate and other necessary documents, she went and claim at OLD Mutual for the preparations of the funeral,as she has been paying the premium for my father also. But at her suprise she was told that she cannot claim on behalf of the deceased because it written on death certificate that the Deceased is Divorced.

She then tried to inquire about the premiums she is been paying, can't they be refunded. As she is been paying since 2006. she was then told to go get the affidavit from both families that after the divorce she made peace with my father, and of which she did obtain both affidavits and submitted them. It is very unfortunate that today she received a message saying :

Forwarded from +***: Old Mutual. Dear MRS NOZUKILE KOBESE The claim cannot be paid because the deceased is divorced with you were not staying together. Please collect your decline letter at a branch. . Tel ***
