PUBLIC WARNING – Old Mutual refused lawful retrenchment payout – Grand theft of my funds

To the General Public,

I am writing this open complaint to warn every hardworking person in this country: DO NOT TRUST OLD MUTUAL with your hard-earned money.

I held a legitimate policy with Old Mutual that explicitly included retrenchment cover. When I was retrenched through no fault of my own, I filed a valid claim in good faith, providing all required documentation and proof of my retrenchment.

Old Mutual refused to pay out.

There was no valid reason for their refusal. They simply chose to keep my money money I paid in month after month precisely for this kind of emergency. I am not writing to ask them to reconsider. I am way past that. They have made their position clear: they will take your premiums but disappear when you need them most.

This is not a mistake. This is grand theft, plain and simple.

To anyone considering Old Mutual for retrenchment or any other insurance cover: be warned. They are predators dressed as protectors. They will collect your payments with a smile, and when life crushes you, they will step aside and watch you fall.

I am sharing this far and wide so that no one else falls into the same trap.

If you have a policy with Old Mutual, review it now. Better yet, take your money elsewhere – to a company that actually pays claims instead of robbing the unemployed.

Do not be their next victim.
