Provident fund pay out

I resigned and terminated my provident fund membership from Old Mutual. My previous employer submitted to OM my termination documents on 11 June 2015 but they claimed to have only received them on 22 June 2015. I have just contacted them now(06.07.2015) I was informed that in actual fact they had only gotten my documents on 25.06.2015! Also if that was not enough of an absurdity the OM representative proceeded to inform me that there has been a 'freeze' or something like that whereupon funds were being moved from Section 14 to Superfund so processess of payouts were frozen till further notice. Needless to say I was fuming! , what does the immigration of funds from one fund to another have to do with me?! Why am i as the client suffering?! And the OM representative has the audacity to say that my employer was informed of this and they were supposed to have informed and I responded to say that on correction 'my employer' is no longer my employer and it was rather silly of them(OM) to not inform me of this but my ex-employer with an expectation that they would inform me. Anyway, this unacceptable! I NEED MY PAY OUT PROCESSED IMMEDIATELY, I am unemployed and need of those funds
