Poor service

Ref: ********** 522089

It so happen that I have insured myself & family with old mutual and all the life policies, retirement and funeral policies I have are with old mutual but to my surprise the service I'm now having from old mutual is disgusting to say the least.

Eversince I resigned from my old job the support I'm receiving is zero. Firstly I sent an email explaining my status which was not attended to, secondly I went to OM offices to change account and changed from debit to stop order but from then to date I've had reports of missed payments although I always reserve enough funds to cover for all

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will investigate and contact you directly to resolve.

Things went well for only a month after which the debits were done anytime it suits Old Mutual. In the process I couldnt track which debit went in or not and thats the chance they had to lapse my Greenlight policy. Fortunately I saw it on my portfolio that it is inactive, and went to a branch in Springs- Gauteng in October, I think, and they told me that its active on the system. I think it already was inactive indeed because from what is displayed in my portfolio it said 1 August. I went to another branch on the 12th of December and was told that it is indeed inactive but couldnt pick it up since when. How could I know then if they can't access it themselves? Why didnt they do double debits as they did with the others? Why didnt they call as they have done previously? Is the aim to cover us clients or to take the slightest chance to cash on us?
The consultant, unable to answer my concerns, told me that she is going to send a request for debit to be done for the missed premiums she cant pick up on the system. I waited to receive the number of premiums I missed only to receive a message to reinstate my policy as it has lapsed. I'm now wondering because all the other policies are active but this one where OM has covered me with a lot of money is said to have lapsed and I have to go through the same process as when I was applying for the first time to re-instate it. I am not to take this sitting down because seemingly it is ****************...

Poor management and zero ethics. Made an arrangement but Old Mutual not keeping to arrangements lately, failure after failure.
