Policy Payout half of what I put in

My wife had a policy with old mutual for roughly 66months. Now it has been deducting from my account for the whole duration. Our payout this morning was only R6337.39. I'm aware I payed a penalty fee but you guys have been deducting between R200 -R 278 for the 66months duration. If I make a rough estimation I have Almost Invested R13500 over this period and to only get half of that money is ****************. Also the last statement says i should get R7200 but you guys only deposit R6337.39. What the hell is going on. I have advised my wife to cancel her other policy. I heard many people advise us not to take a policy out with old mutual as you get less out than what you put in but this is up there with ***** / White Collar Crime and ****************.
