Policy details compromised

I recently received my annual statement form from Old Mutual by email only to find that my postal address was not mine and was an address not known to me. On further investigation I logged into my profile to further nitice that my physical address had also been changed to someone elses address. Not one of these addresses were known to me and was not requested or authorised as a details change on my account by me.

I called the client centre in Cape Town to address and report the matter who confirmed that the last recorded change was in 2013 to my actual address however there was no record of any changes to the current and unknown address.

I was provided an email for there complaints department to formally once again raise this to a secondary person or entity. After a week I had still not receceive any response other than an a generic email response from there server.

I took me to personally go into there head office to get any form of reasonable help, which the consultant himself tried his best to do however met a brick wall with Cape Town head office with them not being able to fortify any reasonable explanation why my Policy details had been compromised. The whole matter was brushed off as something that was actioned by one of my beneficieries which in effect is impossible as I am the policy holder, and only I should be able to log into my profile and action physical changes to my policy. When this was emphasised it was then passed onto a system glitch.

I still await any reasonable explanation from Old Mutual other than the provided and statements of "we can change it for you agin to the the correct ones" as to how my Policy was compromised and what risks I face for this to happen again.

As a prominent financial institution I expected a rather greater and more profound reaction and action towards one of their clients' policy details being compromised.
