Pathetic service from OLD MUTUAL

Old Mutual is absolutely an horrific Insurance Company. As per some of the negative comments below, this organisation doesn't care about their clients or communicating to their family. Calls aren't returned, and the call centre sounds like a broken record repeating "we will get back to you and please call back later", which obviously never happens.

In the past it was one of the best insurance companies. Having an Old Insurance in the life insurance industry made you feel above everyone else. No more can it claim that. Clients go through enough as it is with all the stresses of illness, now we must deal with an organisation who didn't fulfill its obligations. I recently had a stroke but instead of paying me pay from my disability claim it paid me less from the illness benefit. Since when did a stroke become an illness but not a physical impairment and I must go on like this for an additional four months before they decide if I'm justified in getting the rest of my funds. Your subscription was taken now comes the T&S the small writing to tell you cannot claim. They have no empathy for their clients, and we're exactly that, clients, as insurance policies we took out pays you for your services. So provide the service you are paid for! Why must I go through hoops and jumps for what is rightfully mine as I have paid my premiums diligently and for me to receive this disability gratitude/payment. OLD MUTUAL HAS LOST THE PLOT WITH ALL THE SHENIGANS GOING ON WITH PETER MOYO AND ITS BOARD. Hoe ugly to have seen on TV that the dead body had to be brought into Old Mutual to prove the client is dead. My medical aid is not willing to pay for consultations to specialist but I must submit further reports. I have had a stroke and still not improve from that and suffer with fibromyalgia and diabetes. Old mutual when can I get the rest of my money. Must I be wheeled in and call the press. No they just dont care that we bank on that to pay for consultations and medications.

I am not interested . When it comes to pay our subscriptions it's very easy as I pay. I took this policy out for peace of mind if I'm injured or I'll health I will be covered. Over such a long time I paid towards my policy. I had an extremely serious injury at work Old Mutual would not pay . It took a stroke to pay me something and all it went to institutions I owed as I am awaiting my compensation. I am semi paralysed but they still will not pay. My brain is partially affected but I'm told I must lose a limb or eye. All I want from old mutual is to reimburse my premium payments. I am treated with the utmost disrespect by Old Mutual. My broker cannot even assist as they are no longer part of the overall old mutual system. I'm am disabled . What more do they want. Sell you something then all the small conditions come out. Old Mutual is a disgrace as shown on national TV. The ongoing battle with its CEO and the board compounds the problem . Focus on the clients that have been clients for years and not for board members to pay themselves bonuses from our money yet we cant get our money. Genuine empathy underscores the way in which we understand human nature. The old view that companies are essentially self-interested entities is being nudged firmly to one side by evidence that they must be wired for empathy, social cooperation and mutual

“Walk a mile in another man’s moccasins before you criticize him” American proverb

Empathy is essentially about being aware of other people’s feelings and using that awareness to strengthen your connection with them. Progressive companies, without exception, are experts at intuiting customers’ discomforts and taking immediate action to alleviate them - sometimes before the customer even notices them! So, get into your customers’ heads and figure out what their next move will be before they make it. With the state-of-the-art technology that’s available these days, the empathetic approach has become a business imperative.

Mr Horack you can google and you will find in England and other countries fibromyalgia is a disability.
According to Fibromyalgia Syndrome, fibromyalgia can be identified as a disabilityand Personal Independence Payment may apply to you. Like Disability Living Allowance, the benefit is given to individuals who cannot work and find it difficult to cope by themselves.May 8, 2018

So why doesn't Old Mutual pay me. I'm no longer working . With the type of injuries I have my profession or other professions would not employ me.

So Mr Horack I cant walk or do anything anymore and you still insist in that I dont qualify for . Secondly the premiums I've paid can that be refunded and I'll only keep the life policy. I will not want to cancel my retirement annuities as this was taken out when I retire so that I can survive. Your comments was unfounded and poor advice given to somebody who will depend on these annuities for the future As the ombusman you are not being objective as it means I lose out on my 1/3 payout and thereafter my monthly payments. Is this as an Ombudsman working for Old Mutual clearly shows that you are bias as you are given me wrong advice
