Pathetic Service from Old Mutual

I guess pathetic service is the norm in South Africa, not so? Indeed, I’ve been receiving pathetic service from Ruan Stander and his dad before him for a considerable time now and therefore from Old Mutual.

Here are some reasons for my statements:

1. I have my own business, I’m 58 and pay myself a salary of R50 000 per month. I get about R 10 000 paid out per month from my living annuity from Old Mutual. I depend on this money every month. Now suddenly I get half of the original amount, the rest is taken as a tax. When last has the honourable Ruan visited me to ascertain my financial position AND to help me structure my business finances (I assume he knows something about business and investment – probably not). At the beginning of the year, I had to structure my salary obtained from the business. Obviously, I would have liked to discuss my options with him so that I could advise my accountant how to structure my salary to fall in a lower tax bracket. 2. The lack of interest shown by this Stander and Old Mutual is typical of big business in South Africa. When the f*****g government snap their fingers you jump. You’re pathetic. You’re supposed to look after your customers (I say customers because you don’t know the difference between customers and clients) and make sure they pay as little tax as possible. However, it is clear you are complicit with this thieving government in *****ING people’s money either directly (my view) or indirectly because of your contemptable attitude. 3. Many years ago, someone told me an individual would never be able to trade in stocks without a broker. Now anyone can do it through platforms such as Easyequity. I’d like to change my monthly payout from my annuity to R 6000 instead of the R 10 000 currently. Hopefully you are not too bogged down by BEE inefficiency to process this request quickly. 4. I’ve asked Stander on several occasions to give me the growth rate of the Old Mutual Max Income per year. I want to use it so I can determine how much I can safely withdraw each month. I’m yet to get a reply. A simple email or Whatsapp will do. 5. Over 30 years ago I predicted that South Africa would be in the sorry state it is in now. I want to make sure everyone that reads this (Hello Peter) understands that it is not only the filthy ANC that brought us here but ALSO big business including Old Mutual. They have implemented BEE and other racially discriminatory practices. There is no other definition of it as reverse ************** against whites. I’d go so far and say I think it even discriminates against white people like myself when it comes to investment opportunities given the kind of service I get from Old Mutual. I bet that if I was a black business owner you’d go out of your way to assist me. I salute the Ukranians. At least they identified their enemy and actively fight them which is something I wish I could do. 6. Based on the pathetic service from Stander I’d like someone else to take over from him.
