One Year to process a claim and still waiting
Whenever you sign up for policies they always guarantee efficient services but when the time comes to claiming that's when you see true colours
I have lodged a claim from January this year for disability. I am currently deaf in one ear and am claiming for a 25% of my current insured benefit as stated in the policy
I have been given forms upon forms to fill out by the specialist, employee, GP & myself. I have been to the specialist back and forth about 4 to 5 times if not more and each time incurring expenses. I have given them everything that was required. Upon my last message I was told that they still need forms to bee completed which I had already done before.
I called the centre Dec 6 and told them that I have already filled out this form and given them all reports that the ENT has, There is nothing left to add to my diagnosis. The Ear test reveals that I am completely deaf. The policy states I get paid out for being deaf. I don't need to fill out ten thousands forms or give reasons why. The point is I am deaf and they can do whatever test they feel fit if they need proof themselves.
I asked the call centre on the 6th dec that I need urgent feedback as I have already waited a year. I called back Dec 8th to get feedback and they said the claim is still with the assessors.
This is absolutely ridiculous the amount of time I have to wait to be payed out for something I am paying to be insured for. It is now December and I have still received no positive feedback at all.
I was going to take this matter to the Ombudsman but when I queried about the ombudsman apparently they have an internal one so I knew this route would have also not been positive.
