Old Mutual, worse than government Red Tape/ incompetence
My wife received an email asking her to claim unclaimed shares. After filling in and submitting everything, they requested her divorce certificate from 30 years ago. Home affairs can't help, but she is registered on her new surname. We submitted copies of both old and new id's and an affidavit to that effect as the Bank, SARS and other entities accepted. BUT : OUR PROCEDURE DOESN'T ALLOW FOR THIS. DOES SHE NOW JUST WRITE OFF THE MONEY?
