Old mutual taking an easy way out.

My claim for policy number 69345SB***0 was declined, stating the 6 months waiting period. The deceased was covered under our policy we had with Metropolitan with Policy number *** which ran from the 1st of Aug 2020 to the 28th of Feb 2021. According to the highlighted text, abstracted from my Old mutual policy schedule, we qualify for a waiting period waiver. "claim for an insured person’s death from causes other than an accident within the first 6 months from the application date, or, date on which he/she was added as an insured person under the plan and where I took out this plan to replace a previous policy that was designed to cover funeral expenses and that was cancelled (including because it has lapsed or its term had ended) within the two months before the application date of this plan". Now Old mutual is playing is trying to ignore all of this and also my complaint. We need this sorted asap.
