Old Mutual sucks

What I will advise people is never to take some insurance with this company. They are quick to deduct premiums and when it is time to payout, it’s a serious mission.

I opened an investment account two years ago and now that the financial situation is not that good, last week I decided to call them and ask that it be closed. At face value I thought it will be easy until the incompetence and bad service kicked in. I was sent form to fill in and advices what documents to attach.

Then I was told that I did not fill in one of the columns correctly indicating my insurance number and that came with a warning that if I don’t do that within 48 hours the process will be abandoned. I did that I got not answer as to whether the exam I was writing was comp**** with.

I sent emails to check if I have comp**** but in vain and from Monday second I sent emails and further called and I was promised to be called back again in vain. It’s like I am doing a wrong thing by demanding my money.

As I am writing this review I am waiting let alone to know when payment will be effected but if the damn form was filled in correctly, how petty is that

Please really think twice about these bunch of unprofessionals

I doubt they even deserve the single star I put in
