I recently lost my leg due to an accident that occurred whereby a lady drove over my foot and coursed damaged to the nerves and tissue in my foot, i had death and disability cover and submitted my claim to old mutual and they refused to pay and the reason is i am a diabetic and my claim cannot be processed Firstly i suffer with controlled type 2 diabetes and not type 1 and the amputation was as a result of the accident, secondly i informed old mutual and provided Drs reports indicated that my foot was driven over and caused significant damage resulting in amputation, Old mutual has ****** my hard earned monthly contribution and Claim i am unemployed and cannot provide for myself or my family thanks to old mutual i will be going to the press and ombudsman and the headlines will be old mutual *****s from the poor and disabled what a shame i cannot even purchase a wheelchair or a prosthetic limb claim Ref 430521 contract number ***6
