Old mutual should be investigated

So my father passed away in 2021. We never knew my father had a policy with old mutual, as he had never recieved statements etc. The only way we found out is that he recieved one statement on email (as we still have access to his emails). We called in and confirmed the policy number and details. We have requested to withdraw the whole amount out as in case of the policies death claim value. We have submitted all the documents as requested and have not heard from anyone at old mutual. Call centers with people that have no training or skills equiped to handle the situation. This is very scary as how can you trust old mutual with any type of money if they can not even answers questions and put you through the whole call center. Also putting my mother through stress while grieving is absolutely horrible. Being told 3 months waiting time. To 6 months to 1 year of waiting time is absolutely ridiculous. Save yourself from this and dont even invest. Either they will just keep quiet and never let you know where your money or family's money is. Or just play delaying tactics and have excuses to not pay that money or not even give you information on it. I will never recomend old mutual for anything. They dont care about you ,your family or finances.
