Old Mutual rewards horror

I’m extremely appalled by the service I got yesterday from the customer care agent I spoke to yesterday at Old Mutual rewards. I knew when the line connected and she remained silent that should she decide to respond, I will receive horrible service. I had to say hello twice in order to get her attention and she responded with “Yes how can I help you” I went on to provide her with my inquiry which was related to my sister giving me a gift voucher she redeemed from her Old Mutual points. I went to shoprite to load the gift voucher and it gave them an error saying “Return unused voucher to user”.

The lady I spoke to at Old Mutual spoke over me not even understanding my enquiry and she said that Shoprite is at fault because they should be clicking on Coupon instead of wicode. I told her that’s not the case because of how they do this on the system and showed me the process. The agent was adamant saying shoprite is doing it incorrectly. I went to shoprite today and it still gave them the same error. Old Mutual has changed a simple way of using points from wicode to this complicated of giving you a gift voucher number to load on a shoprite gift card and they are not willing to assist in anyway. I’m extremely annoyed with my time being wasted going up and down and Old Mutual does not want to get involved or solve this issue for me. I want this sorted now, this is ridiculous that we get to use our data earning the points and when it’s time to redeem, its hell.
