Old mutual retirement fund claim not executed

My previous employer used old mutual for retirement fund. when I moved companies in November 2022 I requested a transfer of funds to the financial institution used by my current company. the superfund claim was in progress for about 8 months with no feedback on hold up. I followed up 12 months later to be told that the funds were placed in a preserver with no further detail as to why they deviated from my instruction.

I was promised a call back with details and a way forward. no one has contacted me since

No one has called to assist instead I received a new entrant certificate for funds allocated to a preserver. I did not ask for the funds to be put in a preserver I asked for them to be transferred to a different financial institution. Old Mutual is refusing to engage me and are insisting on keeping my funds in a preserver
