OLD MUTUAL QUICK TO MAKE A SALE AND SLOW TOWARDS SERVICE DELIVERY.

I have withdrawn from my Two-In One savings plan with Old Mutual.

The application with all requested documentation was sent to Old Mutual on the 7th May 2019 and on the 9th they confirmed telepathically that they received the application and the claim will be paid by Friday the 17th May 2019.

To date - no payment has been received and they cannot give me a date on which payment will be made. Despite several phone calls, being put on hold for excessive amounts of time - no one can advise when this will be resolved.

It is becoming tiresome trying to resolve this matter and the service I received is unsatisfactory and inconclusive.

I would really appreciate if Old Mutual could prioritise the payment which they committed themselves would be made on the 17th May 2019 and they failed to meet this commitment and cannot even have the decency to contact the client to try to resolve.

Their team leaders never seem to be available to address customer complaints.

I have asked the Old Mutual staff what the escalation path is and no-one could refer me to the relevant contact person/department.

What do I need to do to get this resolved? Can anyone be of some assistance.

Out of curiosity to see the turn around time between how long Group Schemes respond to potential sales I logged a call for a product request and within 5 minutes a sales consultant contacted me!! I wish they were as fast in service delivery as they are in trying to get you to buy something from them.

I wanted to open up a new savings plan after using the funds from this plan for its intended purpose.... I surely will think twice about investing with Old Mutual.

I wonder if they are this slow in service delivery on other products? I dread to imagine if this was a Funeral claim.....
